The Institute of Alcohol Studies (IAS) is looking to recruit a Policy Analyst to join their small team in Central London. The purpose of the role is to support IAS work in promoting public policies to reduce alcohol harm by ensuring information provided to external audiences includes up to date, accurate evidence on financial impact and cost-effectiveness.

New Directions 2015: Addicted to Recovery?
The New Directions in the Study of Alcohol Group (NDSAG) 39th Annual Conference 2015 takes place in London this month on 21st and 22nd of May - see here for the conference programme [pdf].
The event explores the key theme of 'Addicted to Recovery?', looking at addiction concepts, 'brain science', pharmacology and other issues crucial to the treatment field. The second day focuses on a range of other issues including gambling, the changing policy and commissioning landscape, lessons from the field and more. A range of leading high profile speakers include Professor Keith Humphreys, former adviser to the Obama administration, Professor Marc Lewis and many more.
