Alcohol-Related Frequent Attenders
On Monday 23 March 2015 an event exploring 'Alcohol-Related Frequent Attenders to Secondary Care: Challenges and Opportunities' is being held by the Health Innovation Network (South London AHSN). The event is free to attend and runs from from 09:30 to 14:30 (GMT) in South East London.

Free tickets have all been taken for a national conference to explore key issues facing the delivery and implementation of 'Identification and Brief Advice' (IBA) in the UK. However waitlist or a limited number of cost-recovery tickets priced at £45 are still available for the 20 April Birmingham event - see here.
On 24 April in London a conference on 'Comparing and contrasting practice across Europe' takes place. It aims to examine 'developments in national and urban settings that will provide inspiration and practical suggestions for how to improve our relationship with alcohol' based on the latest research and practice'.

New Directions 2015: Addicted to Recovery?
The first conference programme [pdf] has been released for the New Directions in the Study of Alcohol Group (NDSAG) 39th Annual Conference 2015, which takes place in London on 21st and 22nd of May.
A number of registration options are open for the two day event, which explores a range of the latest research on alcohol addiction in the context of the recovery agenda, related addictions, policy, and practice. See the New Directions website for more details.

Global Alcohol Policy Conference 2015
The Global Alcohol Policy Alliance (GAPA) and Alcohol Focus Scotland are to co-host the next Global Alcohol Policy Conference which will be held in Edinburgh from 7-9 October 2015.

From September 24-25 the 15th INEBRIA Conference takes place in Atlanta USA, focusing on Interprofessional Involvement in Brief Intervention. From 17-19 June 2015 the 9th International Conference on Nightlife, Substance Use and Related Health Issues takes place in Lisbon, Portugal.
From the 16-18 September, Encountering alcohol and other drugs will also take place in Lisbon, hosted by Contemporary Drug Problems group. And finally, also in Lisbon, the first European Conference on Addictive Behaviours and Dependencies takes place on 23–25 September 2015.
