Sara - this is mainly based on the University of Sheffield modelling.

There are other studies also showing that recession impacts on heavier drinkers harder too, as they spend greater proportions of their income on alcohol.

I haven't seen any evidence yet that minimum pricing will reduce the consumption of heavier drinkers - can you point me in the direction of this please?
