Knowsley Hospital Liaison Service (HALS)
The Knowsley Hospital Alcohol Liaison Service (HALS) commenced in June 2009 and offers acute hospital patients with a brief intervention and education around their alcohol use. It provides, for those who need it, the opportunity to be fast-tracked into community alcohol services. Read more

Nottingham City - Last Orders Phase 2 - Framework Housing Association's Brief Advice Service
Last Orders, Framework Housing Association Brief Advice Service, commenced training in September 2008. Last Orders Phase 2 is the next stage of this specialist service, and is focused on the delivery of Identification and Brief Advice (IBA) and extended IBA in primary care. It is funded by NHS Nottingham City. Read more
Blackpool Polycarbonate Glasses
Since January 2009 the Blackpool | Polycarbonate Glass scheme has provided town centre venues with safe, indestructible glasses, which display a social marketing message and unit information. These glasses were developed to reduce the harm caused by smashed glass and alcohol-related violence, and to support the ALTN8 (social marketing) campaign. Read more
