The Home Office have launched an 'Effective Practice Database':
The Effective Practice Database is a database of projects that have been tried around the country. Please use it to research what works, and to avoid reinventing the wheel. Don't forget, though, that what works in one location will not automatically work everywhere (or anywhere) else and you'll need to consider those factors that are most relevant to your area.
A few alcohol-related projects have appeared though the site appears in its early stages; a project submission form is available on the site.
A number of alcohol resources for health have been funded through the Department of Health:
- The Alcohol Learning Centre; a comprehensive site for guidance, learning and other materials
- HubCAPP (Hub of Commissioned Alcohol Projects and Policies); a database of alcohol interventions and policies
You can also use the google bar on Alcohol Policy UK to search for news, policy and projects from the last 5 years. If you are an alcohol coordinator or strategic lead, see the AERC Alcohol Academy page for networking and skills support.
