Health scrutiny in Hackney on alcohol to include impact of new licensing laws

The Health in Hackney Scrutiny Commission is about to start an enquiry called "Alcohol - assessing the impact, reducing the harm". Hackney Council is funding research by Alcohol Concern to support the Commission, and to inform a concurrent review of Hackney's licensing policy. The intention is to develop a robust dataset that can be used to monitor the impact of alcohol misuse in the borough, and to measure the effect of the new licensing regime.
