The NHS have launched the 'Drinking causes damage you can't see' campaign. A new website at www.drinking.nhs.uk offers a range of tools and information to help assess and cut down harmful drinking.
The campaign, which includes two TV ads, builds on the previous units campaign and aims to raise awareness of the hidden health harm that can be caused by regularly drinking too much. An information pack is available to the public, and a stakeholder resource site will be making a range of materials and resources available to help professionals deliver advice and brief interventions.

A bit weak - the ad should have opened with the damage you CAN see. A bit of town centre violence and throwing up; pictures of 'glassing' victims, car crashes etc. and then go to the damage you CAN'T see. Open the ad with, "We've all seen the damage alcohol can do - but what about the damage..."

Excellent to see this campaign, I work for and Alcohol Dependecy Specialist as a Liaison Worker in the local NHS hospital often offering brief advice etc. This will be good to highlight to Nursing staff to demostrate a eclectic approach. Keep up the good work!!

I agree with Chris... it could've been more impactive if the initial, more visible damage had been the more obvious starting point.
But at least it's something!
